TOPIC: THE ACEC RETIREMENT TRUST

Ms. Zabrycki is the Director of Education for the ACEC Retirement Trust, educating firms on the advantages and benefits of the Trust. The ACEC Retirement Trust is an autonomous Trust offering retirement plan benefits to participating ACEC member firms.

Lydia has been in the engineering industry for over 11 years, working for two engineering firms in California’s Central Valley. She has served on the Board of Directors for one firm as well the Senior Management Team of both firms.  Lydia played an instrumental role in bringing both engineering firms into the ACEC RT.

The Retirement Trust is overseen by a Board of seven Trustees drawn from senior members of participating ACEC member firms. Lydia is the first woman Trustee to serve on the ACEC Retirement Trust in over 43 years and most recently stepped down to take on the role of Director of Education for the Trust. She is an active ACEC member and is currently the Treasurer for the ACEC San Joaquin Valley Chapter in California. In addition, she serves on several Boards and Councils including the Fresno Regional Workforce Development Board, UCSF Dean’s Development Council and the Fresno Chamber of Commerce.

In 2016, The California Chamber of Commerce honored Lydia Zabrycki with the Small Business Advocate of the Year award, recognizing her and two other business executives for outstanding advocacy on behalf of small businesses.
